Resko wind farm due to expand
PGE Energia Odnawialna, the renewable energy subsidiary of Poland’s largest state-controlled utility PGE, has picked Vestas Poland for delivery and installation of 38 wind turbines, with a combined power of 76 MW, for the second phase of the Resko wind farm.

With its €82.7 million offer, Vestas beat Gamesa Wind Poland to the PGE’s order, after Gamesa’s bid of €80 million was rejected on formal grounds. Gamesa supplied turbines for Resko’s first phase, which became operational in 2013, consisting of seven Gamesa G90 2 MW wind turbines.

Another tender, concerning infrastructure of Resko II, remains unresolved since June.
