CEE Equity Fund and Enlight Renewable Energy take over Wróblewo wind farm
China’s CEE Equity fund and Israel’s Enlight Renewable Energy became majority shareholders in the 36 MW wind farm in Wróblew, Łódź province, Puls Biznesu newspaper reported on November 13. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

The Chinese-Israeli joint venture bought 50,01 percent of shares. GEO Renewables, the farm’s original owner and developer will retain the remaining stake as well as continue to manage operations.

The new investors also aim to begin construction of a $50 million (€41 million) 150 MW wind farm by the end of 2014. Another project - a 70 MW farm for approximately $25 million (€20.5 million) - is in the pipeline for mid-2015, companies said.

The Chinese-Israeli joint venture aims to invest a total of $84 million (€69 million) in Polish wind power over the next seven years, CEE Equity Investment Director Rafał Andrzejewski said.
